OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 test criteria – New regulations for 2016 came definitely into force on 1 April

After the expiry of the usual three-month transition period, the test criteria and limit values for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 that were published at the start of the year came definitely into force on 1 April 2016.

Sinds 4 februari telt België zeven nieuwe fabrieken van de toekomst. Deze sterke bedrijven hebben ervoor gekozen om hun competitiviteit te verhogen aan de hand van geïntegreerde transformatietrajecten uit het Made Different-actieplan. In die trajecten zijn ze nu zo ver gevorderd dat ze aan de criteria voldoen om 'Factory of the Future' te worden genoemd.

New fees for European Union trade marks

From 23 March 2016 onward, the Office will be called the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Community trade mark will be called the European Union trade mark.

New tariffication "Pay for what you need":

The fee system at the EUIPO will change from the fee system applied by OHIM. The system will change from a basic fee that covers up to three classes of goods and services to a "pay-per-class" system.

Ontex Eeklo wint Factory of the Future Award 2016

Tijdens de uitreiking van de ‘Factory of the Future Awards 2016’ op 4 februari in Antwerpen werd de vooruitstrevende bedrijfspolitiek van Ontex Eeklo bekroond met een award. Jef Monballyu, manager van de Ontex-vestiging in Eeklo, was bijzonder trots de award in ontvangst te mogen nemen. Hij benadrukte dat dit de beloning is voor de inzet van alle medewerkers op alle niveaus binnen het bedrijf.
